Thank you for this! Most elderly Viet they watched those Viet channels that are very brainwashed. Also Viet business owners preferred having more benefits from the Republicans. They are very restive, even if we try to tell them they wont listen. The new Viet generation is the only hope💕

Communism came from the Vietnamese people’s deep love for their homeland. It was just the way for Vietnam to take back independence from the U.S. and France. The Republic of Vietnam back then was basically set up by the U.S. as a puppet. People at that time pretty much knew this already. After independence, the communists always kept the door open for anyone who once had the wrong mindset to come back. Vietnamese people never really went after those who got misled and ended up serving the U.S., because at the end of the day, we’re all Vietnamese. I don’t know what kind of negative or mistaken beliefs about the country your family might have held, but you and I are the younger generation, we can dig up the truth about our roots ourselves. Hope you’ll see it clearly.

Thank you for putting these into words, I couldn’t get this across to my parents and have avoided talking to them altogether. But I recognize that this is an important time to have this conversation with them rather than staying silent. This is so important to get through our Vietnamese parents who are so lost in vietnews of misinformation. The irony of them sacrificing their life in their home country for their kids to have a better education/life just to be blindsided on what’s going on in the country is so frustrating when I couldn’t explain this to them

Every country has immigration laws. How is protecting the border and filtering who coming in a bad thing? Lastly, every president term, democrat or republican, there has always been millions of illegal immigrant deported. Liberals just have a problem with it now because Trump is the one doing it, which is very hypocritical.
