They hid bc they were terrified and bc they had hope. Terrified of being separated & deported by gov agents. They also had hope that the reign of hate & deports would end. It did end, but not in time for Anne & Margot. It did end.

One time when I was 12 we hosted Miep Gies at our house, in the US, for dinner. She was the woman who helped keep the Frank's alive while in hiding and saved the diary. She came to my Christian school that was performing The Diary of Anne Frank. She cried every time she saw the play. I hate that some of the same people that met Miep at my school became fervent MAGA supporters.

How did you manage to find the classiest ladies pontificating their thoroughly researched facts about Anne Frank? Btw I WISH you would share your attorney thoughts about the Karen Read trial! Im just a wanna be attorney/juror/judge who has STUDIED the case (not kidding and I did take one single law class and got an A+ 15 years ago 🤣) and i cant stop watching.
