@sexedfiles: What’s this about herpes on Love Island?! 🩷🏝️ Here’s my perspective as an educator: 💡Just because someone has a mark on their lip doesn’t mean it’s herpes. It could be anything, but even if it is herpes? It’s still not a scandal. It’s normal.  Starting rumors and speculating about people’s health based on their appearance is not funny and it’s not educational. It reinforces the stigma that already surrounds herpes.  Stigma makes it harder for people to: ❎Feel safe disclosing their status ❎Ask questions or seek treatment ❎Date or have healthy intimacy ❎And it fuels anxiety, shame, and isolation So, let’s stop with the jokes and do a better job leading with empathy and normalizing these conversations and education!
