Comic nerds should know this one. “I was at the mercy of men who were just following orders. Never again.”

Also electrolytes. Too much water is just as dangerous as not enough.

Anyone ' just following orders' should understand how fast they will be thrown under the bus by the people that gave those orders. They will claim that's not what they said and you acted on your own.

I had heard about the “Duty to Disobey” but you’re the first person to mention it in this context. I’m glad someone finally said it.

I’m so glad you are mentioning the Duty to Disobey. My husband, former Air Force, and I, former Army National Guard, have been discussing this during this “deployment” of the Marines. They shouldn’t be carrying out any illegal orders!

everything going on now is one of the many reasons I did my 6 years, both active army and reserves, and got out, I couldn't in good conscience, continue serving a country that doesn't give a shit about us

Worked with a bunch of great cops who always told me to say zip, even if pulled over for a ticket. I'm a 62 year old very white woman... and they thought I needed to be told that.😳

actually the fact is your gonna think about what you did for the rest of your life. do you want the article 15 and the pride that you were right did the right thing saved people and were a silent hero. or do you want the clean record and to look back at what you were and what you did knowing you hurt them you helped other hurt others and you stood on the side saying a 4 year old in preschool was a danger to the country

Yes! Protect your eyes! I got a stick in the eye during basic training, and 20+ years later I'm still dealing with recurrent corneal erosion.
