It was so weird to me when that it was always Pyrus/Darkus, Ventus/Haos, and Aquos/Subterra. The type oppositions should’ve been Pyrus/Aquos, Ventus/Subterra, and Darkus/Haos.

not really how it works is that u have multiple ways of boosting yourself for exemple a straight line from Pyrus- Darkus, Subterra - Aquas, Ventus - Heos, this boosts the power of both bakugans with said attribute now it's Corelation Boost, witch boosts only the bakugan who activates that ability card, so if the user uses "corelation between Aquas and Darkus" that corelation can be used cuz both of those bakugans are on the field at the same time and only the Aquas bakugan Wil be boosted the third way to boost is thru the triangle of attributes(forgot the exact name of this boost method in English) u take Pyrus Aquas and Heos, u can make a triangle with them, this boosts the 3 bakugans who's attributes are used for this boost not really boost category but if u have 3 bakugans with the same attribute on the field u unlock a special ability for that specific attribute, for Aquas is Grand Tsunami witch clears the entire field leaving only the bakugan who activated this, for heos u gain your used ability cards, for vetus u clear the board? not very sure on that one, for the rest we didn't actually saw what their special ability is

I thought it was already understood. Watch Bakugan S1E2 when Dan battles Shuji for the third time. Dan’s pyrus bakugan got trumped by Shuji’s ventus.
