Two things - 1) you want to place the vent as high as possible l as that will limit your fill level (this guy just lost at least a half gallon of capacity); 2) drill your hole at a 90-degree angle (not 70-75 degrees like this hack).

So what do you do with plastic from drilling the hole that’s in the gas. Shouldn’t you filter that plastic out of there? I mean, it’s only common sense.
