@jeremystoomuch: ☝️ Hair Oil and Serum are NOT the same thing! And if you’re using them like they are, that might be why your hair looks greasy, heavy, or still frizzy bestie! 😬 Basically here’s the tea: 👉 A serum is usually silicone-based and coats the outside of your hair to make it look smoother, shinier, and protect it from humidity. (And heat damage!!!) It’s best used on dry hair to fight frizz and add shine after styling. 👉 A hair oil is heavier and goes deeper because it’s meant to nourish, seal in moisture, and soften your strands. You mostly want to apply it on damp hair before styling or even overnight as a treatment. And while they BOTH add shine they work completely differently. One’s surface-level and one goes deeper. One’s for protection and one’s more for hydration. And depending on your hair type, using the wrong one in the wrong order will definitely leave you feeling greasy!
