Honestly i genuinely do NOT gaf about the ingame story, i usually read lore and story on websites/ watch yt vids because i start snoozing when i try to do the story in hsr cus its so damn boring and 90% a black screen, i don’t get it why people are upset

I honestly think misinformation was gonna happen regardless of if we have a skip button or not, also, a skip button is so beneficial for those quests no one likes or for people who play for the characters or for gambling and not for the story.

the skip dialogue might be good sometimes if u wanted to start another acc for pulling charas and such and/or rewatching cutscenes.

I enjoy the story but at the same time there are times when I just wanna get with the action. Plus there are some stories I dont care about that I rather skip. like the 2.6 quest with the monkeys.

I don’t see how a skip button be added could even remotely be a bad thing since misinformation, mischaracterization, and a lack of media literacy are already common in hoyo fanbases. The worst that could happen is literally nothing changing.

I praise the new skip button because most of the side quests in the game are extremely boring and some of them have no input in the lore. I don't want to sit there for hours playing something I'm not engaged in 🙏

I love lore games. I love the story of hsr. i love the story of genshin. they can NOT tell their story well at all. Gacha games in general is just sit there for 4 hours while the game tells you everything with absolutely 0 nuance with a cutscene every so often.

this would all be solved if they would just learn how to write an interesting and engaging story, instead of the maid and butler style lore dumps that don’t matter at all to the rest of the story
