she probably thinks it’s your “child” since cats raise their kids with others.. so your bringing her you child for her to babysit. Had the kitten been an adult, she wouldn’t have been so kind

I had this happen with a terrified foster kitten and my sweet old man cat. Cats are smart and you can literally see the relief in their faces when they see another cat and feel a fraction of safety again.

I really admire people who foster animals because it's something the world really needs but I would fold immediately upon seeing my cats being cute to a foster kitten and adopt them 😭

My old man is like this with kittens. Hes fostered five now. He loves babies and will come running if kitten audio plays.

My orange boy Spartacus raised foster kittens until he passed. He had the same level of compassion and acceptance as Poppy. Poppy is a very special kitty. She will change kitten lives. Cherish her always. I miss my Sparty 🥺

This might be niche, but after going through a super traumatic thing as a child and being removed from care and showing up at some ladies house in the middle of the night and I'm grubby and she holds out her arms and embraces me and she's warm, and soft and smells like cookies and love. That's this but for cats.
