I am so f*cking tired…as a woman, aa mom and as someone who actually studied anatomy and human s//ggsuality for YEARS. I am exhausted by the pseudoscientific bullsh*t about female bodies that gets platformed every single day because someone “sounds confident” when they talk. This hymen mythology? This virginity testing garbage? It’s not just medically inaccurate, it’s actively harmful. It’s used in courtrooms. It’s used to control daughters. It’s used to justify violence. And we keep giving microphones to people who perpetuate it. Men who’ve never read an anatomy textbook explaining women’s bodies. Women who’ve internalized purity culture so deeply they’re now enforcers. Influencers who rack up views by packaging oppression as “traditional values.” Every time I see this sh*t go viral, my nervous system goes into fight mode. Because I know somewhere, a girl is being taught her body is evidence. That she can be “checked.” That her worth is tied to tissue that doesn’t even function the way they claim. The science is clear.
