My last dog decided to eat an entire packet of ibuprofen tablets that it found in a bag (the cat opened the bag for him) and still lived to 14. Same dog that also ate 5 terrys choc oranges one year at Christmas.

I used to work in pharmacy. Sooo many people used to come in saying the vet sent them to buy paracetamol but we were prohibited from selling for pets. Was almost always followed with an attempt of “oh it’s for me then” 🙄

when my dog was in his final weeks before he passed, my vet told me to give him half a paracetamol tablet twice a day, she said if she prescribed it, it would cost me loads compared to 40p from the shop, this was last year

Wait that’s the law? When my dog was poorly over Christmas they told me to give him half a paracetamol they didn’t prescribe it just told me to get it from Tesco

I jumped at that video😂 We gave my old girl paracetamol for her arthritis and then she had to have omeprazolve for a separate issue, which baffled me because it was the exact same as my mum's 😂

I also hate that she phrases it like “oh this will save people so much money 🥰🥰🥰“ like yeah you’ll save plenty of money when your dog is dead from you poisoning it and you’re not buying it food and toys anymore. 🙃

Ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory, paracetamol is totally different - they have similar effects but do very different things...

People are in her comments asking for her advice?! I’ve commented begging someone not to give their dog ibuprofen and I think she’s blocked me. It’s so frustrating, I literally see ibuprofen toxicity at least once a week in work. It’s no joke!!
