@nes.ttv: Let’s talk about the foundations of binary and digital logic. The reason why electronics work may not necessarily be intuitive, but that doesn’t mean it needs to be complicated. This is a bit more of an abstract concept but I hope you can follow along well enough!! #STEM #electronics
We pressed minerals out really thin and then electrocuted them until they agreed to think for us

There is magic blue smoke inside every chip, it’s placed there by the wizards at the factory. Any time electronics fail you can see the little puff of magical blue smoke escape.

Just because we know how something works doesn't mean it's not magic

The sheer way transistors work at the scale they do in computers is magic (as an EE). WDYM transistors are so small you have to worry about quantum tunneling?

I hate/love how all logic gates can get reduced to NAND gates on the hardware level 😭

So what kind of degree I need to get to learn about these type of things and work like you, electrical, computer science, robotics or something else?

My personal beef with such explanations: “how stuff works” type books explain how adders work, then say “combine these and you get a computer!” Nope: combine those and you get a 4 function calculator.

So your phone sends the audio to your airpods through air and your air pods has to reconstruct the frequency it receives to give you sound aka as "ones and zeros" sounds like magic to me

Your rock and stream analogy are correct, but it doesn't really convey what you trying to say to someone who doesn't already have a background in hardware.

0 and 1 is used for binary. And how do we use spin to make images? It’s a long story. It begin with simple calculators. The first calculator could only add a number together and subtract. 1+1=2 but we don’t have any higher number then one so we got corrective and use bits in 4 bit 1 is 0001 and 2 is 0010. 3 is 0011. 4 0100 and so on.
