Depending on the damage in your knee…those shots hurt like h e l l! I just had two steroid shots yesterday. Not for the faint of heart.

I have read more comments on how painful these shots are. Why do they not give you some sort of sedative? Why should anyone have to endure that?

I just had this done 2 days ago in both knees. They sprayed ethyl chloride to freeze my knees before the injection.

You must not have any space left in the joint. I’ve done monthly gel shots in my knees for a few years for moderate osteoarthritis. I have never experienced that.
