We converted our 5th wheel toy hauler to a gooseneck hitch. We found it rides smoother with less chucking .

5th wheel is more stable, higher weight rating then a gooseneck. in Manitoba anyways its legal to pull a boat for example behind a 5th wheel trailer but not behind a gooseneck, the type of hitch has nothing to do with what license you need to legally pull it. its all about weight
