That looks like my toenail when I dropped something on my big toe and the nail broke/died. Took a year to grow out! But you can see the healthy nail at the base growing out. Why is he acting like he’s never seen this before??

He damaged this at some point in time and his nails is just falling off. I’m really surprised they’ve never seen this before. I’ve had this happen to me twice… grows back just fine. Personally, I wouldn’t pay a podiatrist for something that’s going to fall off and grow back anyway.
