These comments know NOTHING about the history of the US or New York. New York is a city of immigrants and mixed cultures and it has always had problems, just like every other city on earth. This type of old footage is very cool, but keep in mind that these are usually either tourist advertisments or propaganda films made specifically to show these cities or countries in a good light. They shouldn't be viewed as "proof" that "everything was better back then".
