He can do this because you emphasize it with him by engaging. YouTube Kids and whatever is fantastic because he uses it, and you engage at some point. You’re such a good mom.

Talking to him like an adult is huge. Him being an only child is huge too. My daughter was the same way when she was little. ❤️

You are doing an amazing job Beth. His natural intelligence and curiosity plus your support and patience shines so brightly in Cooper. My oldest had a speech delay and narrating everything is so important.

As a former early childhood educator I can confirm that narrating your day, what you see, etc is amazing for a child’s vocabulary, development, etc. great job mama!!

the thing is that the baby phase can hurt language so starting with language that is clear was perfect!

When the school was telling my parents I was a freaky genius, they asked about how I was brought up and my parents said they did the same thing with talking to me like an adult from infancy. Whatever professionals were in there said that probably greatly contributed.

my kid knows so much random information from YouTube kids. I am excited to see where he goes in life with all the random knowledge he has. talking to babies like little humans really makes a difference. Babies who primarily hang out with adults have a way different vocabulary than those who dont. its just facts
