Nope, it’s the people filming themselves eating and trying to make everything into “cOnTeNt” that annoys them

So as someone who has been living here in japan for 15 yrs and has worked in different restaurants , yes it is disrespectful if they are immitating and mocking them. The restaurant staff(Japanese) do scream loud in most restaurants as a part of their culture and job, but if you as a foreigner is mocking them, that’s straight up disrespectful.

I just can't fathom how people go to a different country, different culture, etc, and then act as if rules there don't apply to them and they can do whatever they want??? It's so disrespectful. You can enjoy a vacation without needing to be rude or ignorant to the locals and their culture and rules.

thank you so much for brining light to this! It’s really sad that people are acting like this not only in Japan, but in other asian countries which is really sad since societies in asia tend to be really respectful and considerate of others around them! unfortunately tourists misbehaving is on the rise! but thank you for being the minority who are respectful and mindful of the cultural norms in these countries 🙌

just because you can speak the language, it's all about the tone and the way you hold yourself and some people just don't get it 😩 ruining it for the rest of us.
