it's common knowledge that u have to go though the manufacturer. stores sell a product if it's defective under one month only then will lthe replace it , if it Costco that's a different story

Walmart doesn't deal with it, the manufacturers do. you have to make the claim through them, then they either send you a replacement or refund for what your paid for it.

you can't exchange at the store level with a manufacturer warranty. you have to contact the manufacturer

dont know how it is in the u.s. but in canada at Walmart if you buy a TV you only have 90 days to return or exchange it in the store after thr 90 days you go through the manufacture

I bought a dvd took it home turned it on it kept skipping so I took it back (less than 2 hours since purchased) and they said they couldn't return or exchange cause it was opened but I said how would I know it didn't work until I opened it and put it on they said idk so I asked for a manager cause I was within the return and exchange time

It IS theft. You can’t just walk in and take a tv off the shelf and decide you’re going to take it as a replacement despite being told no.

I think you could return a warrantied product but you could not replace it on spot. There are procedures.
