If this is still going on, I'd totally be open to this. My biggest hurdle is self sufficiency is where to find the work moving from Cooperate America to the R&D industry.

man I'm a controls engineer that works with maintenance. sometimes when everything is running good I'm twiddling my thumbs. other times I am inventing my own solutions. through logic or designing field devices.

Man this reminds me of a project concept I worked on a while back. I called it community projects and it was basically like this. like an authenticated Facebook Fiverr fusion. sort of a system where you could pledge money towards a project maybe a production line of a specific product or a community installation and then the app uses specific classes of users in order to organize the execution of that project in a decentralized way. it just facilitates the exchange of resources and labor.

This is fascinating. My biggest concern is the dwindling in-person community, third spaces and personal relationships that develop in them. I theorize that mental health will plummet in the coming years :(

Yes. Also, as an AI driven software engineer with a consulting background this is a good idea. While, advancements in ai are significant and helpful, the general lack info re: ‘what’s next’ for the people, is concerning. This is a great idea. Let me know if you need help 😌
