Couldn't arriving a week in advance cause homesickness in the student if the host parents are working each day? That's been my hesitation to have them come more than the weekend before school starts.

My girl arrives about a month before school starts but thats because we have a week long family vacation and then a week long rodeo sooo shes gonna be pretty busy and experience alot right after she arrives.

I arrived a few weeks later but that was because my school started already on July 20th and my agency’s first New York camp was on August 2nd to August 5th and I had already paid for the camp so we talked with my agency in my home country who told me to talk to my host parents who then talked to the school and we made it work
