Staub vs le creuset is like a religion. My dad has le creuset so I have le creuset, owning staub would be like becoming a Protestant

As a home cook, I can't justify the price of either staub or le crueset. I have had my Lodge Dutch oven for 9 years and it works perfect still, and has the self basting lid. $45 at home goods. I frequently bake bread in it, make roasts, soups, pasta, everything.

I’m team permanence. I have both Staub and Le Creuset but if I’m honest, nothing compares to Staub.

In the kitchen, I’m in the buy nice or buy twice mindset — I’d rather pay $300 for a pot that lasts me 15 years than $30 for one that lasts <1 year

I got my Staub on a holiday sale for less than $200. They also look beautiful in the kitchen. Functional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. I’m not rich but worth the splurge imo

Lodge Cast Iron also uses sand molds that are used once and destroyed/recycled

I feel the cheap choice is wrong, it’s ultimately highly wasteful and ends up in landfills just for the sake of profit

My mom has a set of Staub cookware from the 70's or early 80's that still gets used almost daily. I told her she has to will them to me lol

You should make a permanence series where you go in depth on products that actually last!!!

It’s so great to have one of these. But a $40 off brand also works really great and people don’t need to spend money they don’t have to be able to participate and make great food.

We started replacing our Le cruset with Staub. Far superior to everything else. I’ve still got a few Le cruset but they live in a drawer.

Staub is way better than Le Creuset. The lids are designed so much better. The flat top with the lip around the edge was done so that you can place your spoon on top without dirting your counters.

How funny, I just discovered this brand and bought a Staub Dutch oven today. I typically lean towards convenience and low cost. But I went to the kitchen store next door to my job that was going out of business and they had it marked down from $460 and I paid a qtr of that. Feels like we hit the jackpot.

I have many staub pots that I use on my channel, I have bought them thru the manufacturer and they have sales on ones with cosmetic defects, the 500 dollar one was 150. If you like cooking, I would recommend them. Take care of them and they outlive you
