I always try not to speak negatively about insurance companies, even though it can be challenging at times. Instead, I focus on educating patients by reminding them that having some insurance is better than none. It’s our responsibility to guide them and help maximize their benefits to the fullest extent, so they can get the care they need in the most affordable way possible. When issues arise, we refer them back to the insurance company, as there’s only so much we can do on our end as a dental office. It’s also important to remind patients that we don’t work for the insurance company — we’re here to help guide them, make the most of their plan, and offer payment options or in-house financing when needed. Working with the patient and staying positive is always the best approach.

In Chile we done need dental insurance. it's not cheap but a root canal is maybe 120$, implants 300$, cavities maybe 40$, give or take. we use same x-rays and implements so idk where the thousands add up to. I normally pay like 50-200 a year on dentist
