we have been up and down on pred for 6+ months for ITP. we moved to dexamethasone which is even stronger. it's so tough to watch them hurt in order to improve. 💕

My puppy has been on prednisone for over a year. Different dosages to try to manage 2 autoimmune diseases. I know without this drug we would’ve lost her a year ago. However, she’s now 1.5 and facing liver failure. It’s such a powerful drug but comes with devastating side effects 😢

My puppy took prednisolone for 6 days and she seemed like a totally different dog. Sleep all day and very aphatic behavior

has he had any seizures? my dog was put on this about a week ago and he had a really bad scary seizure last night.they never told me any side effects like this would happen.

This has been happening to my girl too. We’ve been in and out of the ER vet all week. Her muscle mass is completely wasted away in the last 2 weeks, she can’t walk for longer than a few steps without falling over, and now her GI issues are so bad she was pooping blood😭 Her levels were in the normal range when we checked last week so I’m really hoping we can start to wean her😩😩

Yes the breathing gets weird 🥺 i’m glad he’s doing okay. I wish i never gave this to my baby😭

I currently have a rescue dog he’s been taking it for 3 weeks now 😭 um 😐 its just bad soo bad his spleen is inflamed after taking it also his CBC is all in all bad after 2 weeks of taking it also he doesn’t like drinking water and he’s been peeing all over him self

Mine was out on it he had some bad skin issues. I can tolerate the thirst and having to go pee. But my young pitty looks completely different and has lost muscle mass. He will starts a lower dose tomorrow. I want my young dog back. I’ve been so emotional over it.
