Um, The lion king is Hamlet for kids. King killed by uncle treachery, prince goes away, uncle takes over, meets two companion, enlightened by strange other, strained relationship with woman in the court. Lots of things are influenced by older things.

lion king was straight stolen from kimba. but I'm sure they wouldn't have hesitated to rip off other studios too, especially Don Bluth, who made plans before time. Bluth left Disney in the 70s because he didn't like their practices and became a direct competitor with them. so...

I cringe so hard when Kimba is thrown in here . Like yall on onto something. And Adam From YMS shares that cringe and thats why he made a in depth video on youtube about how The Lion King does NOT rip off Kimba the white lion. It’s nearly 2 and half hours long. It’s worth the watch.
