is the implication that being an engineer or chef is harder for boys when they literally dominate those fields?!

Those issues aren’t a male thing, it’s a job market issue that EVERY young person is having to go through right now

Men are finding achieving the unrealistic patriarchal standards difficult? SHOCKER. the patriarchy harms men as much as it benefits them. It was BUILT for men. Men need to do the work to dismantle it, women have been shouting it for decades.

"positive masculinity" is hard to define because a lot of the traits we want to promote -- kindness, sensitivity, emotional awareness -- are all percieved as feminine, and they're hard to sell to an impressionable crowd who want to be tough and in control

BBC impartiality at work by showing Tommy being informed and educated and eloquent and then giving as much time to a dude just kinda waffling, ur so right man, it's such a hard path for a man to leave school and go into the restaurant service industry

It’s not about men vs women. It’s hard for EVERYONE to get a job, the job market is terrible and the bias of the older generation towards young people doesn’t help either. Stop rallying genders against each other and just support people

Im sorry, what? Engineering is DOMINATED by men. There are so many studies that show that men have it easier getting a job getting promotions in these fields. It is hard for young people to get a job, nevermind a well paying one, but it is much easier for men then it is for women.

I think the biggest issue is that you have to basically decide at 15 what you want to do for the rest of your life
