where is this judges TikTok account, I’d like to speak some words of wisdom. While courtroom decorum is important, the decision to publicly scold this man — not for any legal infraction or misconduct, but for a lighthearted and clearly non-disruptive shirt — comes across as not only unnecessary, but deeply inappropriate. Humiliating a person in a legal setting, where they already face high stress and vulnerability, over something as harmless as a novelty shirt undermines the dignity and impartiality expected of the bench. This is a lack of respect the judge shows to whoever stands before her.

Courts claim dress codes prevent bias, but then judges form opinions about defendants based on their clothes. If they really wanted fairness, they’d provide identical outfits for everyone - white shirt, black pants, bought in bulk for pennies. The fact that this obvious, cheap solution doesn’t exist proves the hierarchy is the point, not fairness.

It’s literally a Father’s Day tshirt. It’s says at the bottom “I mean Father”. Maybe he wore it because he wanted to show that despite being a felon, he is a loving father and a human being.

I understand not judging by clothing but he made a decision to wear that. Imagine a mom sitting in court explaining that the father is not fit and he shows up in this obv treating it as a joke. I can 99% promise he owns a plain shirt but he made a choice so he’s being judge on choice unless he can explain it x it’s like that one teen who wore a shirt that said ”killer” to court after killing kids. Obv not as severe but I’m just saying clothing does matter in some contexts x
