People are more ready to tear you to pieces over saying the wrong word and inserting their think pieces over Adriana and Chance but where is this energy for extending well wishes for Chance (as the family LITERALLY requested), assisting the family with support in their grief, and discussing how this horrific case has been a culmination of various systemic failures?

Words matter. A perimortem c-section is a surgery that still requires a c-section technique to keep the neonate safe, which means that life saving measures were still in place. While she was dead, profusion was still happening. An autopsy is a series of procedures performed following loss of profusion AND brain death to determine cause to death, which may not be necessary in this case because we know cause of death since she was dead prior to the surgery.

i never one dehumanized her the hospital who kept her on “life support” KNOWING SHE WAS DESD is DEHUMANIZING! her family not sticking up more n actually saying something is dehumanizing. i would never pray on a black women’s downfall nor a black child’s downfall ive done all the research there is to be done i’ve educated myself sorry i feel like the baby deserves to be with his mother god forbid i say a child who shouldn’t even be here should rest peacefully with his mother. that child now is only one pound and will be in the icu for weeks he will be on his own life support now for weeks now the family will have to pay the hospital bills bc they choose to keep a dead women on life support she was 9 weeks pregnant whenever she passed the baby was not even fully formed it was literally one inch . “im tired of this happening to black bodies” well girl actually this is the first time it had happened to anyone.
