@thedididelgado: A WORD ON JUNETEENTH 🖤❤️💚 We carry the voices of our ancestors not as ghosts but as companion. Every single one of us is at risk by the systems that perpetrate harm. It’s going to be important for us to root down deeply with people that we can trust and who can care deeply for our souls and who can show up for us in significant, tangible ways. But all of these crises coming to a head are not accidental. And I’m in a state of grief about that — not because of something that was imaginary, but because the very real status is the people we care about are not going to make it. Understand that being able to read is a privilege. Only 15% of Black people in America can read beyond the 8th grade level. That’s for real. So for those of us who can, it is our job to teach others and to help others and to distill information and make it accessible.
