@ashleeinc: This spooky scary storytime came from Adam who said that the burnt toast theory saved his life in March of this year. Got a creepy, unbelievable or strange story you’ve never shared? Send it over!
burnt toast theory has played into my life a lot. I dont fight it when I'm running late due to "everything" going wrong. happened on my kids last day of school. bus wasn't running, 2 younger kids had blow out diapers, all this stuff. we get on the road 5 minutes later than I wanted to be. Got stuck right behind a nasty Tbone car accident at our turn for her school.

Kind of like a burnt toast theory story, but my pap burned his throat on a baked potato one night when we went out to dinner and he didn’t feel better after a couple days, went to the doctor turns out he had throat cancer and the baked potato is the only reason he went to the doctor and found the cancer

I don't call it the burnt toast theory, I believe it's God keeping us away on purpose! of course that's only for the religion people. for the non-religion people they call it the burnt toast theory🥰

not exactly burnt toast theory but I've been terrified of tsunamis my whole life. had reoccurring nightmares of being stuck on a beach with my dad and brother as a tsunami came in from the age of 2. like full on wet the bed terror nightmares. People weren't allowed to mention them anywhere near me. I'd have panic attacks over it. my step dad used to have to take me out like 3 nights a week and just hike up to a high point and camp with me because I'd be inconsolable about tsunamis and it was the only way id feel safe 🤣
anyway! flashforwards, I'm 9 years old. mum sits me and my brother down and says that we're gonna spend Christmas with my dad in Thailand, its all worked out, his company will fly us out we'll get fancy first class seats. I fly off the handle refusing to go for no reason other than 'I don't want to'.. somehow my anxiety over it makes my dad rethink and refuse the trip to come and surprise us on christmas. turns out that had I not freaked out for no apparent reason my worst nightmare would've come true as what would've been our hotel was entirely destroyed by the 2004 boxing day tsunami 🤷♀️never had another tsunami nightmare

I don’t know if it’s the burnt toast theory, divine intervention, God, but it’s true. I’ve seen unexplainable stories as an RN

My old highschool teacher used to tell his Burnt Toast Story. At his former job, he was very punctual and never late but was running late to work one morning because he spilled something on his suit. Minutes later the Twin Towers were hit

kind of unrelated but i’ve always been a big believer in the sensation of déjà vu being a sign that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. even if it’s somewhere mundane, it’s telling you you’re meant to be there.

As a person who has chronic life inconveniences and loses things constantly, I live my life by this. God is watching my steps for me. I say this on day 5 of looking for my car keys 🤣🤣🤣

I was supposed to take my vehicle out of town and I got a flat tire. My mom ended up coming with me and driving her car. If my vehicle hadn’t had a flat my mom and children would have been in a fire at her house the next day.

I have a burnt toast story. I was never tardy to class, but this particular morning my favorite song was on the radio and I wanted to finish listening to it. It would only be about 2 minutes past the bell and I knew my teacher showed most people grace so I sat in my car listening to the song. As I'm getting out of my car, I hear what I thought were fireworks. And students start running out from in front of the school screaming he's got a gun!! Had I gotten out of my car I would've been walking down that hallway to class.

My husband was deployed when we were supposed to have a military move to a highly desired location. He had to deploy and our move was delayed. I ended up being diagnosed with a rare aggressive cancer and our local hospital was affiliated with the research center that had the leading specialist. New research had come out the month prior to my diagnosis and I got an experimental treatment that is likely the only reason I’m still here

Once I was running late to meet up with someone I was working with and I didn't know this lady. She looked at me and said "Never apologize for being late, we are where we're supposed to be ". It changed my whole perspective instantly.

I’ve never personally experienced it, but have you ever heard of the West Side Baptist Church choir? In 1950 all 15 members were late getting to choir practice. All for various reasons. The church exploded about two minutes after choir practice would have normally started. All lives were spared because no one had gotten to the church yet. Not even the minister who lived across the street from it.

It's true...my 2nd cousin was late to work and dropping off her kid because she was missing her shoes. It was on 9/11 and she was one of the people who helped the daycare workers rescue the kiddos 🥰
