I went to jail because my ex called the police on me saying I hit her multiple times. Thing is, I’ve never hit anyone of any gender. There’s a serious problem in the US with abuse situations and clearly one gender is favored. Sorry you’re going through this brother

Tennessee is one of the most strict states against DV. If there is a domestic dispute- someone has to go to jail. I work in the criminal justice system and I’ve seen how it truly helps victims. Automatic 12 hour hold and no contact order. Aggravated DV is mandatory GPS monitor

My husband is a domestic violence survivor... His ex would physically attack him all the time (of course he would document it) and every time the police were contacted regardless if he called she called her the neighbors called HE was always the one arrested and sent out of the house with a Walmart bag full of clothes and toiletries and charges were never pursued because the police wouldn't follow through with the next steps
