That's not galvanized pipe, and nore have they used galvanized pipe on pools ever, if that's the case, you need to tear it all out and recipe. Most likely some junk stuck in the DE filter

Seen some else on here using pipe epoxy to line pipes. Probably a much cheaper solution than tearing it out.

I have an inground Pool, in Massachusetts. It's fifty two years old, and I had the second liner it put in 1993 it's still the same liner. The pool runs great a couple of motors.I went through that's it.😁
