If goodwill didn’t charge so much they could get rid of a lot more. Let someone get use out of it even if they have to sell it for 0.50 or $1, come on now!

Looks like a lot of useable items in there. Makes me think twice before donating to them. They have been raising their prices lately!

I worked for goodwill here in cary north Carolina. it would make you cry over the things they throw away just because they don't want to deal with it. This was my main reason for quitting

Goodwill actually ships unsold items overseas to be sold in street markets. All textile products go overseas and any nick knack items are also sent overseas! they have saved 11.8 billion tons of garbage from the landfills

yup I worked for goodwill and yes they send truckloads to the dump instead of selling cheap or giving it away. All for profit

give to local thrift for missions (help homeless) or local church thrift. stop giving the multi millionaire company. it starts with where we give. salvation army helps so many people and young people ect. we do have a choice.

Yeah cause half the time these fucking entitled assholes just “donate” trash it’s ridiculous I’ve worked at the Arc donation center for about a year and you wouldn’t believe the amount of literal trash these people think is worth donating I have filled a quarter of 53 foot trailer in under a couple hours and most of it was trash

That is not always true. What they don’t sell in the regular stores it goes to their Outlet. Their are something they can’t take due to safety like strollers , car seats , baby beds and certain toys etc. due to recall which can become a law suit people leave them any way and they have to get rid of them. Most of the clothes that are donated has real bad smell are badly stain so yes they have to be trash also. I use to work for them .

I’ve heard they keep things so many days, then it’s trash. This was in and around Atlanta, glass things for sure broken and trashed.

Maybe some of the items are stained, extremely dirty or broken? & not worth repurposing or selling? Cant tell honestly, just taking a guess.
