Doesn’t matter if you find the loose part or not just pull the wheel and turn the key it’ll do it either way it’s the worst safety mechanism ever

the wheel lock is there because when parking your supposed to turn your wheel towards the curb and it locks it in place. if someone stole it they would pop the ignition and same time as they do that it will unlock the wheel so not for theft

the phrase is "jury rig" it is French meaning "days fix" it comes from old French sailing where they had to fix something for the day because they didn't have the correct part yet.

Never would’ve thought locking the steering wheel would prevent them from getting far. Good to know because I have a manual car so they could just bump start it if they got in
