Light up a room is DEF a compliment people get when their energy really is awesome….. also, it sounds like he’s just hyping her up and this is making her uncomfortable. Not everyone is hitting on you when they compliment you but I understand not being used to a compliment without some sort of underlying motive

I don't get why she doesn't talk to him about it? "hey I know you probably mean nothing by it but *these types* of comments are making me a bit uncomfortable. is there something you want to say to me? if not could you please stop with them." even if he does mean something by it you're deescalating and ending it. if he makes a move you have something concrete, but do it in a private space when others ARE home just in case you need to call for help
