Kids do not ask for stepparents. The moment they do not like you is the moment you let go. I dont understand why so many adults try to enforce some type of blended family. Its usually due to the parents wants & needs and rarely ever benefits the child

I wish adults would just stand up and be adults, he loved her enough to push forward to make his relationship work, he is disappointed that she doesn't love him enough to do the same. It's not ok for the daughter to disrespect her but as the adult she needs to find the common ground. On the back end dad needs to let his daughter know that disrespecting his wife won't be tolerated.

That kid didn’t appear out of nowhere. I NEVER would’ve CONSIDERED marrying him. When I was young and dating, I turned tail and RAN when any guy mentioned their kids or baby’s “muvvahs.”

He remained humbled because he loves her. She is wrong. Teenagers are a pain in the butt, but true love will push through it. The wife can speak and at least try and that’s it. The husband would appreciate it more than she knows.
