@builtwithtools: You can use a screw to hold the last piece of vinyl siding in. The screw pushes it tight to the face, and the head of the screw hooks on the J-channel holding it in place. You can also use a snap lock punch. But you'll have to add a strip behind the siding at the very top to push it tight to the J-channel.
