With all due respect but, 27-32 patients is NOT healthy. The number of visits tells me this doctor spend only a few minutes with each patient and he/she can’t tell me that he addresses his patient’s problems completely. This is just a money making scheme. I’m sorry for his patients.

I’m genuinely surprised they’re making that as a hospital employed FM doc. Most hospital groups I looked at were barely hitting 300k after bonuses and I’m internal medicine boarded

Yes as a NP seeing this many people we at only make $130k/yr. I understand the education difference but the healthcare company we work for are making $500k/yr and I have to pay $24k/yr for insurance for my family and have $80k in student loans. Crazy

Yes except, unless they are in a family health team, they have to put much of this money into running a business, hiring office staff etc.

I’m from a rural area and starting residency for FM and everyone is shocked to see what we can make here. I think it definitely helps that it’s a shortage area so they have to offer more or people won’t be drawn here
