DE can be hazardous because it’s usually like 80% silica, which if inhaled a lot can cause silicosis (like black lung). BUT. It’s incredible for pest control. People spread it around the inside and outside of homes to prevent bugs and critters inside.

Be careful not to breathe any DE in. It's so small that that's where the danger lies (it can seriously irritate your lungs and the silica in it can scar your lungs forever). I was watching with such concern so I'm so glad you were so careful and it didn't poof up in the air
