Makes me tear up. In some ways, many people were complicit in the erasure of gay men’s visibility in the media during the AIDS crisis. By taking the candy, the observer is contributing to him fading away.

My favorite piece of Felix is one I forgot the name of but got to see in person next to an installation I had and seeing my work to his was great he had white canvases next to one another with little white dots each showing his white cell count every month till he died of aids very crazy to see each dot up close and when u look from afar just looks like an unfinished artwork
