Hate to break it to you but it’s common sense. Moisture gets stuck under the sub flooring and causing mold.

You do know the dangers of mold ? It’s not just about replacing floors… you would have remediate your whole house, plus it can make you super sick also.

That will actually make the floor swell causing you lots of money to get replaced even with floor boards it will still make it swell bad , there probably all damaged already
