The Cape is covered in hundreds of kettle ponds that formed 20k years ago when the glacial ice sheets retreated. It’s probably my favaorite part of the Cape since the ponds get warm for swimming but the ocean esp Atlantic side stays much too cold even mid summer

If you're staying down the Cape it's gonna be hot hot hot if you plan on going to any of the beaches I suggest mayflower you need to be on the beach by 8 AM 9 AM they'll be no parking

New England has some of the largest concentrations of ponds and lakes in the world … there are more ponds within a 10 mile radius of the Plymouth and Cape area than any other place in Massachusetts. — Glaciers did this :)

Most are Kettle Ponds, formed by melting glaciers. There are hundreds of them on the Cape.
