If it’s private property, the owner would have to trespass the guy. Cops can’t just assume it’s a problem as a reason to question. He didn’t stop him in a vehicle, he was stopped already.

he's not required to answer any questions or identify himself and the cop can't be the complaintant regarding trespassing. This cop is giving him false info..by telling him he's doing something wrong by not identifying. Sue them. They've harrassed him before.

You can be on private property until someone asks you to leave. If they just said this is private property you need to move on then that's fine, but they can't ask for his ID unless he's committed a crime they can clearly articulate.
