your hair can grow and it’s natural state but when it’s stretched it’s gonna have fewer tangles. You’re going to get less breakage and your hair will be able to absorb more moisture because your strands are straighter-as sb with fine 4c hair

If it’s heat you’re worried about there are ways to stretch it without heat. Braid out twist out Bantu knots and you can use a leave in and mousse for it to dry faster or a leave in curl cream

stretched doesn’t always mean with heat. i only wear my hair stretched so i’m doing twist outs and braid outs mostly. i have a revair for when i want a “straighter” look. no wash and goes ever lol

Idk 🤷🏽♀️the wash n goes have grown my hair an insane amount. ( my profile pic is from a year and 4 months ago ) I think it depends on the individual because now my hair is to my armpits and I’ve exclusively done wash n go’s and only trimmed twice in that time.

I’m completely became a wash and go warrior because it’s nothing like my curls but the length retention I get from twists outs is unmatched😩😩 but it’s more work ughh

Either stretch with twists, with heat or with wash n wear styling. Either way we can’t let it shrink 🙂
