as a white queer person I noticed that a lot of the white queer people I know really began clinging to being whatever minority they could (neurodivergent, nb, etc) in 2020 and I feel like a lot of it is a way to feel absolved of white guilt without actively changing in any way

Dating as a gay POC has been so awakening again. Walked out of a date 2 minutes in as someone asked me why I was living in a particular area of London “because there are lots of black people” 😮💨

This year I had to start using a walker for my disability and I was hit with the reality of how ableist our community is and how inaccessible pride events are. If you’re not white, skinny, able body, conventionally attractive, or cis it seems pride was not for you this year
