I have a coworker like this and I’m in a new roll and company. She looks for my mistakes and will never say anything nice. It’s to the point I don’t even want to come in. She’s ruining the experience. 😩😩

Something I noticed with people who appear nice but you get off vibes from them… there’s a subtle inclusion of the word “actually” that gives away how they think of you. “Oh thanks, that is actually pretty useful!” Means they didn’t think it’d be useful and were surprised. “This is actually really good!” Means they didn’t think it would be good

I had this problem when I became a supervisor at 19. I was transferred to a different location to be a supervisor and a girl who was a year older than me already at the location thought she would get it by default. She made my life a living hell, even got the 23 year old new hire to give me a hard time after she told her I was her supervisor (the girl liked me before she realized it bc I never put emphasis on my title) safe to say I left that job a while ago, make a yearly hourly, and advanced in my career✨ karma’s great

Had a manager who was absolutely jealous me, her husband was my previous manager and treated me VERY well. She’d spy on me, curse me out, talk smack about me but couldn’t stop me from being the most beloved person in our branch. Thinking back on it she was super unhinged and I should’ve sued.
