Tell me, why are we ganging up on a literal kid? He’s a 14-year-old Filipino boy, probably going through his first identity crisis and likely dealing with harsh bullying from his environment. Like, really? We all know how deeply ingrained colorism is in our society. So why can’t we show this kid a little grace? Why not educate him? Support him? Lift him up? Does having Filipino blood somehow mean we lose our empathy and humanity?

he's obviously a kid struggling with internalised racism and beauty standards forced upon him by his own community, all y'all videos showing that you look better than him and saying it's not the genes is not helping here and it doesn't solve the overlooked issue that many filipinos face because of today standards. it's actually quite sad he can't love himself and accept his ethinicity.

He doesn’t need all this hate from fellow Filipinos. He’s a kid, clearly struggling with internalized racism and the beauty standards that have been forced on him by his own community. It’s painful growing up filipino and constantly being criticized or told we don’t measure up to southeast asian beauty standards. He’s still young and can learn to love and accept himself but not if we respond with judgment instead of compassion. This isn’t helping.
