@theladyizdihar: How to Dress Vintage Without Looking Like a Class Traitor? Vintage fashion can be radical ✊🏻It's not just useless nostalgia, it can mean something! Style with intention. Dress with class consciousness. #VintageFashion #1930s #1940sfashion #1930sfashion #History #SovietStyle #ModestFashion #WorkingClass #vintagestyleradicalvalues #vintagefashionradicalvalues #Antifascist #RevolutionaryStyle
Scarves also keep hair clean. The air was pretty grotty when everything was run on coal. Also hair washing was a lot less frequent when most people didn't have indoor plumbing let alone showers.

I love this! I have a suit from the 1960s that was homemade that my tailor hates because it wasn’t made properly, but I love it!

I love your dedication but I can not stand romanticization of Soviet Union,as someone from a post soviet country I know first hand how awful communism was in its practice here

I was doing research on my ancestors. lots of people hope to find royal blood, but I was very glad to see a long line of miners and farmers. looking through census records, im not sure they ever even owned slaves. we've always just been poor and working class

OBSESSED with the pincurls peeking out from the scarf and framing the face!
definitely inspiring me to do more vintage waves + scarf combos this summer instead of just throwing my hair into a ponytail!

I've always used my clothing as symbolism and a sort of weapon, but never like this - I just wore a lot of red as a little girl. It didn't necessarily scream "commie", but I liked it. What you do is way cooler, I like it!

I love vintage clothing that is handmade, or a seamstress made it specifically for someone. I have a 50s dress that was specifically made for someone. Scarves have a big part in history for women in all classes (at least in Finland). I actually have a scarf from the 60s, that my grandmother's father bought her from Leningrad.

Love this!! I dressed as a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Brigade from the Flint Sitdown Strike for Halloween one year, and that day everybody wanted to tell me about their ancestors who were in the strike.

I love this sort of stuff, but I also love the working class wear of the 1960's and 1970's UK with the rise of the original Skinheads and the move toward simple, functional fashion that expressed the working class mentality of the era
