REMEMBER THE GOAL. Is the goal to get stronger or to grow?? You can’t maximally do both. Hypertrophic training (growth) shows a benefit for longer rest period. This info might be impactful for female power lifters but even this is interesting as power lifters are known to take crazy long rest periods 😆 it’s interesting but also remember if this is one study it’s kind of irrelevant until it’s been done 20 times across all different kinds of groups of women. I also want to know what happens to the male if he goes 5x5 in 2 minutes as well.

Five sets with a rest of a minute and a half…not doubting her advice, but to get a full body workout, that’s a lot of time in the gym. What if I only have a hour?

5 sets is a lot? That depends on how many reps you’re doing and how heavy. I’ve been in the space for 20+ yrs. It’s not that much.

I have not found her to be accurate for me. I’ve tried this and no, it doesn’t work. But I was literally just thinking before she says it that muscle fibers make a difference and I am not built for endurance in built for strength. I’ve been an athlete my whole life. And so to test my endurance is where I struggle-not my strength
