folks dont remember the movie Hannibal Rising where they show the soldiers forcing him to eat his sister and then becoming mute for a period of time. had to be like early or mid 2000s

If people don't eat people, and Hannibal ate her, then she wouldn't have been a person. But if people do eat people, than she was a person and Hannibal can continue to love her. So he became a person who eats people partly as a way to keep his and Mischas humanity alive.
